About Dionna

(Not currently accepting new clients)

I believe all life experiences influence our behaviors, feelings, and thoughts about self, others, and the world. It is my goal to learn about such experiences as understood by the client. I have witnessed and believe in the resourcefulness and resiliency of people. I believe people possess the ability to change and reach their full potential. I operate from a client-centered, family systems perspective utilizing cognitive behavioral methods to help clients develop more helpful patterns of behaviors, feelings, and thoughts in the context of a safe and supportive environment.

I received my Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Central Oklahoma. I completed my practicum at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Child Study Center (OUHSC CSC) where I was trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). I specialize in the treatment of children, youth, and families who have experienced a traumatic event and the treatment of children and youth with disruptive behavior disorders, anxiety, or depression and their families. I am passionate about working with adoptive and foster families. Additionally, I offer Child-Adult Relationship Enhancement (CARE) training to adults who work with children. I am also a certified PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator and enjoy working with couples.
